Features

Versus mode allows players to play their own customized matches against other players or against computer controlled characters. The Single player includes an arcade style mode, Break the Targets, Board the Platforms and a training mode. The training mode allows players to test characters in an environment where they can summon any items at will for the purpose of testing items, as well as change the computer player's behavior. Break the Targets has the player attacking 10 targets in each of the characters' individual courses. Board the Platforms involves the player trying to navigate their character through their own course while jumping on specific platforms.

The arcade mode gives the player a series of battles they must progressed through, while keeping track of their score, the difficulty and amount of lives the player has can also be changed. The player will also play through Break the Targets, Board the Platforms and Race to the Finish as bonus stages. Race to the Finish is exclusive to the arcade mode in which the objective of the bonus stage is to reach the door at the other end of the stage while dodging enemies and obstacles. Throughout the mode, the player will face against unplayable characters that the player can't unlock, one of them being Master Hand serving as the final boss of the mode. A few of the battles take place on stages that the player can't access in any other modes.

The game also includes a soundtrack section (Which has to be unlocked), a section that keeps track of character's performances in versus mode, and a section for character profiles.
